Kurbаnova Karlygash Abdullayevna, born in 1983,
graduated from the Kazakh Engineering and
Technological University in 2005 with a degree in
Accounting and Auditing. In 2015, she obtained a
Master’s degree in Economics from the University
of International Business. She has more than 18
years of professional experience in higher
education and research and currently works as a
Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance and
Accounting of Al-Farabi Kazakh National
University. Her research interests focus on
finance, sustainable finance, ESG finance, green
investments, and the digital transformation of
financial markets. She completed an international
research internship at Michigan State University
(USA) in 2024 and has participated in
international projects and academic visits in
Europe and Asia. She is an author and co-author
of
scholarly publications in journals indexed in
Scopus and is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
